Hi, I’m Lucie de Brissac Browning
I am an interior designer with a deep appreciation for heritage and period properties. My background in history has shaped the way I approach design, giving me a strong respect for the architectural character that older buildings hold. I believe that great design should honour a property’s past while allowing it to function beautifully for modern life.
Alongside my history degree, I hold a professional qualification in interior design, which enables me to combine historical understanding with practical design expertise. My work centres on creating unique, thoughtfully curated interiors that are tailored to each client and the character of their home. I believe that no two spaces should feel the same; every project is approached individually to ensure the result is distinctive, personal, and layered with meaning.
Before moving into interior design, I built a successful career in financial services. Through this experience, I developed strong project management skills and the ability to work under pressure while managing complex projects and varied stakeholders, skills that now support the smooth and professional delivery of my design work.
As both a designer and a mother of two young children, I understand the importance of spaces that are not only beautiful but also practical and comfortable for everyday living. My aim is always to balance elegance with functionality, creating interiors that are beautiful yet practical.
I am known for my meticulous attention to detail and my commitment to achieving the highest standards in every project. From carefully sourced materials and furnishings to the smallest finishing touches, every element is considered so that the final space feels cohesive, layered, and truly bespoke.
